No photos today, though I have to say, those of you that have never experenced ‘soccer city’ it is quite the sight. We have 2 in soccer at the moment and we are “lucky”
to have them in different places this year. Completely opposite ends of the city, Spirit Park, 84th and O (behind State Farm) and Wright Park,West Pioneers Blvd. & South Folsom Street, in southwest Lincoln. So we decided to head to church last night, enjoy the only time we had in the morning getting our house ready for open house from 1-2:30. Trevor soccer practice at 2, Eric’s soccer game at 2:00, Trevor soccer pictures at 4:30, game at 5. Oh forgot to mention that in between we had an extra, ‘surprise house showing’ at 4:00. The kids had a great time, nice day, a bit windy though.
I planted the rhubard I purchased from my standby mail order Jersey Farms. They not only sell very good asparagus, but the rhubard was quite nice as well. It was kind of funny, I decdided I needed to get it in some dirt so aroud 3:50, I pulled out the wheelbarrel and headed over to Ray’s house my neighbor across the street that I use for gardening. I was heading back across the street with the wheelbarrel in hand and there the realestate agent was waiting to get in! We were glad to see them though, as we hope they have interest. All in all a busy yet fun-filled day.

Yes Dr. Seuss turned 50 on March 2nd. Ryan was recovering from some ailment, so instead of going to daycare, grandpa and grandma had the fortunate opportunity to take care of him. He doesn’t look all that sick here, though he was quite under the weather! Let’s hope grandpa and grandma don’t catch the bug.

Those of you that need a little break to have some fun, Suessville is a nice place to visit.

The fun begins, 2 weeks from putting our house on the market and whammy, the water heater busts its guts all over our laundry room and basement rec room. I was at the birthday party, Amy called the people and I headed to Menard’s to pick up a new one. Just money I guess

They replaced it quite quickly, less than an hour. Good money $350! We headed out after that took some photos of the progress, and things were good again

That’s Amy, the spec in red. Our backyard is actually quite a bit larger, especially wider than our current one.

Well to those of you that were promised updates last night, my apologies. My honey neglected to tell me that she is telling others to “look and see”, even at specified times of the evening. Wow, that’s pressure…nah jk (just kidding in netlingo). I will be posting a couple more of the ‘VR’s’ today. Going to take a bunch of boxes to storage, to free some space, as we will be putting our house on the martket in a couple of weeks.
Amy said there were a couple of windows installed yesterday afternoon. It will look like a real house once the front porch comes along. My thought is that the eve will need support and without being able to pour concrete, that will wait a while. I just got back from picking up Emily from an all-school overnight. Time to bus kids to birthdays, boxes to storage, and groceries.

We celebrated Eric’s 6th birthday yesterday. It was nice that Wendi, Troy, and Peter could come down and celebrate, along with my parents and his friends from school. We had it at the Ager Play Center which is really economical and great enjoyment for the kids. The only caveat is that the older kids (greater than 48″) are restricted to the outer edge of the play center. Of course that didn’t stop the older 2 from running around the track that encircles the center play equipment. If you look at it on the positive side, the younger kids can play and not have rough housing ruin their fun. After the party we headed over to my parents house to chat and enjoy the rest of the day. I will need to get a photo or two from someone at the party. It’s kind of nice sometimes to enjoy the party and the moment, not always from behind the glass. I did get a quick video shot though (behind the glass):

Congrats go out to Amy for a tremendous first half year back to teaching. Not only did she lose her mom to cancer less then 2 years ago, she quit the comfort of daycare (if any of us get comfort from taking care of 6-9 little squirts) and went back to the classroom this year. On top of things, she took on an LPS teaching position (largest district that she’s ever taught in), new grade (1st instead of Kindergarten), and an out of the ordinary environment as can be seen in a couple of letters from her principal. As of today she has completed 2 reviews, both of which have been outstanding! Congratulations, things should be downhill from here…oh by the way did I mention we decided to build a new home as well
Some people say she’s crazy, I just say I’m married to one of the best people on the planet!

These are just amazing. Would be worth searching out his drawings if we ever travel to Europe. Julian Beeve is an artist in Europe who basically draws on streets with chalk. His website is interestingly kind of boring, I guess no one said if you are a tremendous artist that your website has to be pretty. That said his artwork is simply amazing.

My fav has to be this water hose drawing, with exception of Julian, everything is drawn including the hose, amazing!

Well I can say I am too busy to do this stuff, which really isn’t the case. We did paint some today, although I can’t take much credit because Amy tends to to all the painting, I just fix holes. It snowed once again, didn’t snap any photos, kinda old news.

We had Pinewood Derby car races today. We had fun. The yellow one with the man is ours. There were some really cool ones this year. It’s the most fun when you break out the old coping saw and hand sand.

Emily did well for her second official meet. She placed 3rd all around and first in her age bracket on her team. On vault she got 9.25, beam 8.5, bars 8.5, and floor 8.65. It was kind of funny Trevor has only been to 2 meets and already he’s looking for his ‘friends’. As we were leaving he was saying his goodbyes and telling them he’d see them next week. Eric and Ryan had a ball as well.

Attended the annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’ this evening, our last Halloween harah before heading down south.
